Oldham Beyond
The Oldham Beyond project is delivering regeneration and development across the Borough of Oldham up to 2020. It encompasses the economy, housing, learning, the environment and communities. The project was commissioned by the Oldham Partnership, the Northwest Development Agency (NWDA) and Oldham Metropolitan Borough Council.
One of the most exciting opportunities as part of the Oldham Beyond vision is the proposed regeneration of Oldham's West End. The video below has been produced by the Local Government Association (LGA), and explains how Oldham is embracing "Regeneration Through Education".

The Reports
Following extensive research and consultation (including an inflatable “thought bubble” that toured various areas of the Borough), a team of urban regeneration specialists, led by Urbed, produced a series of reports in April 2004:
- ‘A Vision for the Borough of Oldham’ (PDF 1.62Mb)
- ‘The Heart of Oldham’ (PDF 4.36Mb) which concentrates on Oldham Town Centre,
- 'The Oldham Net’ (PDF 4.26Mb) which focuses on seven projects in various parts of the Borough.
The Northwest Centre for Regeneration Excellence recognised Oldham Beyond for its ‘originality and innovation in regeneration’ in its Exemplar Programme for 2004-2005.
