INCREASING OPPORTUNITIES
The Oldham Partnership is the Local Strategic Partnership (LSP) for the Borough of Oldham. The Oldham Partnership’s vision is to make ‘Oldham – a place where everyone is proud to belong’. This will be achieved through the various groups in Oldham – the public, private, voluntary, community and faith sectors – working together to achieve more than they could individually.
As well as improving the delivery of services across the Borough through working in partnership, the Oldham Partnership is a major catalyst to drawing-in extra funds to the Borough. In fact, the Oldham Partnership is the medium through which Oldham has negotiated and is delivering its Local Area Agreement for 2006 - 2009. The Oldham Partnership is currently developing and negotiating Oldham's new model LAA, which will come into force in mid-2008.
The positive work of the Oldham Partnership is being recognised at a national level:
- Winner: Academy for Sustainable Communities (ASC) Cultural Contribution Award 2007
- Winner: LGC's Partnership Award for Sustainable Communities 2006
- Highly Commended: LGC's Local Strategic Partnership Award 2007
- Finalist: LGC's Local Strategic Partnership Award 2008
