The conference was an important milestone in the development of Oldham's new model Local Area Agreement (LAA), offering over 130 delegates from more than 30 organisations the opportunity to contribute to the prioritisation of key issues for the Borough, and suggestions for how these can be tackled.
The conference consisted of presentations from key speakers and workshop sessions where all delegates had the opportunity to contribute to the development of Oldham's LAA. The workshop sessions were split into the three themes which will underpin Oldham's new model LAA. These are:

TUESDAY 12th DECEMBER 2006
THE AVANT HOTEL, OLDHAM
This event looked at the progress that has been made by the Oldham Partnership in the first 6 months of Oldham's Local Area Agreement delivery. Workshop sessions examined how the Oldham Partnership was developing its Community Cohesion strategy, in conjunction with the response to the Cantle Review 2006 into community cohesion. A draft framework for the Community Cohesion Strategy was tabled during the workshops, with delegates given the opportunity to help shape the final version of the strategy.

The Annual Conference 2005 informed the members of the progress being made by the Oldham Partnership and the development of our Local Area Agreement. Workshops enabled Partnership members to make an active contribution to the development of the Oldham Partnership and the Local Area Agreement.
The Oldham Partnership holds a conference every year that enables a wider group of people and organisations to get involved in planning for the future and learning about what the partnership has achieved.
