Oldham Partnership
Safer & Stronger Communities
The Safer & Stronger Communities Block of Oldham's Local Area Agreement
has seven strategic outcomes:
- To promote culture and cohesion;
- To have cleaner, greener and safer public places;
- To build respect in communities, to reduce crime, the harm caused by
illegal drugs and to reassure the public, reducing the fear of crime and anti-social behaviour;
- To empower local people to have a greater voice and influence over local
decision making and the delivery of services;
- Reduce overall crime and narrow the gap between the worst wards/neighbourhoods
and the district as a whole;
- Improve the quality of the local environment by reducing the gap in
aspects of liveability between the worst wards/neighbourhoods and the district as a whole;
- To increase domestic fire safety and to reduce arson.
The
Oldham Partnership has commissioned activity through the Oldham Partnership Commissioning Framework
which will help to deliver against the indicators within this block, and ultimately deliver the strategic
outcomes listed above. Details of some of the commissioned activity is listed below:
