Neighbourhood Learning in Deprived Communities Funding (NLDCF)

Oldham Partnership has secured almost £180,000 of Neighbourhood Learning in Deprived Communities Funding (NLDCF) to help local voluntary and community sector organisations deliver and support learning opportunities for residents of disadvantaged neighbourhoods, with an emphasis on assisting those who wish to enter employment.

Targeted support fund
May 2009
The Government has announced that £190,989 of grant money is to be made available to charities in Oldham as part of a new recession support initiative.
The Targeted Support Fund, from the Office of the Third Sector, is being allocated nationally to the 50 areas deemed most at risk of increasing levels of deprivation as a result of the recession.

Inspiring communities
April 2009
The new Inspiring Communities programme will support neighbourhood partnerships (including schools, councils, parents, charities and young people) to design and deliver a programme of activities to raise the aspirations and educational attainment of young people in deprived neighbourhoods.
