Comprehensive Area Assessment

Oldham has now received its Comprehensive Area Assessment (CAA) report.

The CAA assesses how important local issues, such as crime rates, housing and health are being tackled - and the prospects for them improving. It assesses whether councils, police, fire, health and other services are working together effectively to tackle local priorities.

You can now see how well your public services are performing on a new website called Oneplace.

Green flags highlight exceptional performance by local public services and red flags highlight areas of concern.

Oldham has been given two green flags, for:

  • Breaking the cycle of worklessness - a higher skilled generation
  • Significant reductions in teenage pregnancies through information sharing

and two red flags, for:

  • Resident perceptions of Oldham and public sector bodies
  • Rising numbers of people on out of work benefits for more than five years
