The Co-operative Commission

The Co-operative Commission was established in June 2011 with the aims of overseeing and guiding the development of Oldham as a co-operative borough and identifying and developing new and innovative approaches to delivering public services.

The Commission involves a wide range of stakeholders from across Oldham who share a desire to learn from each other and work together to drive forward the co-operative ambition.

This includes Oldham Council, First Choice Homes Oldham, Voluntary Action Oldham, Unison, Oldham Youth Council, local councillors and the Oldham Business Leaders Group as well as an expanding group of partners involved in the delivery of the co-operative agenda.
